The coolant we use is already mixed 50/50 so i don't have any input for you there, but taking a look at the radiators in some of your co-workers personal vehicles might explain itself!!

Anyone have any real world examples/opinions of the importance of using distilled water in the coolent mix of industrial diesel engines, and or SCA's specially formulated to reduce scale buildup. Having a dispute with a co-worker and need some help settling it, thanks. Also, I have a PM tip: I don't know if this is original or not but i came up with it to speed up brake checks and improve accuracy. to check stroke adjustment i release the brakes and roll under the truck with a tape measure and a grease pen, i take my initial pushrod measurement and write it on the inner tire with the grease pen. then with an assistant applying the brakes i have my first measurement right there when i take my second measurement. if a slack adjuster is out i mark the tire with an X and let my assistant go do something else while i adjust it, then i'm done. 3 steps. works great for auto slacks.
