i have a '08 dt466 and does not want to start in the morning. i have checked as best i could for an air leak on all my lines and filters. i can pressurize the fuel tank with a little air and it will start fine. once it starts it wont have any issues till the next morning. is there a check valve in this system? not throwing any fault codes either. any help would be great, kinda at a loss and scratching my head here in afghanistan.

Hey THOULE I have a 98'Dt 530 and it it acting the same way-if you can get it going in the morning it's good for the day.I thought it was a fuel problem also but now I think it may be the intensifier pump for firing the injectors.I also have noticed if I boost it then it starts better.Ours has a check valve by the fuel filter housing and a water seperator cup with a nylon mesh screen.I don't think I will have to find the problem with it now as there is coolant mixed with the engine oil and we are all in agreement we should just scrap it as it has only been trouble since day one.

there is a check valve in the filter housing, remove the filter and drain fuel from the housing and you will see a allen head plug, remove that and theres your check valve, there bad about getting stuck open. all it takes is a grain off sand.
